God made the U.S. a super power?

LOL! Its the religious right that run america. didnt you know that

Knowing history and understanding history of nations, we know that nations waxed and waned. Many nations had their past glories and there will be new emergent nations that will take their places in history as being dominant. Therefore, to lay an empty claim on which country is the favored nation by "god" is to be ignorant of history itself.

China was dominant for 1800 years out of 2000 years of human history, and should we consider it the greatest? What about the Mongols with the largest contiguous empire in history? What about the British empire?

I mean America is one of the super power countries...but it's the equivalent of giving your cousin who has down syndrome the keys to your car to go pick up Grandma from the airport. People like that shouldn't be in control of anything.

I take it you live here in America...I - unfortunately - do too. I've thought the exact same thing, "Do I want to move to Sweden or Switzerland?" and "Will they take me, if they know I'm American?"

I live in the South and people are ignorant down here. Their over zealous about a LOT of things, patriotism, religion, drinking alcohol....to bad they're not zealots about education.

This is upsetting. I guess I really shouldn't be surprised. And then these are the same people who just can't understand why a good portion of the world hates the U.S. Do they really think that they are all just jealous that we get to have God on our side?

I believe in God, but that type of attitude is a joke. If I go beat up an a 4th grader , does that mean God favors me over him?

Things that superpowers and up-and-coming superpowers have in common are resources. Iron, coal, good soil and water, and plenty of land. Those are just a few things that a nation needs to expand and influence.

If God made the USA a super power, then why are we at the mercy of China?
