Open message to people asking Fantasy Football questions.?

THIS IS NOT A QUESTION - IT'S JUST INTENDED TO HELP YOU WITH YOURS

If you want us to rank your fantasy team:

- Tell us HOW MANY TEAMS are in your league
- Tell us what the SCORING FORMAT is
- Tell us anything else we need to know (was it a keeper league, etc.)

If you want us to rate a trade or potential trade
- Again, tell us HOW MANY teams are in your league
- Again, tell us the SCORING FORMAT
- If it's a KEEPER league - that's a very important nugget - tell us!

If you're asking us what players you should protect in a keeper league
- HOW MANY TEAMS ARE IN YOUR LEAGUE
- WHAT IS THE SCORING FORMAT
- HOW MANY PLAYERS CAN YOU PROTECT
- ARE THEIR PENALTIES FOR PROTECTING PLAYERS (i.e. do you give up a draft pick, etc.)
- ARE THERE LIMITS BY POSITION (i.e. can't keep more than 2 RB's, etc.)

So many questions on this board are impossible to answer accurately because insufficient information is provided. Give us the details and you might actually get some helpful answers.

Then again, this is a very informative post. We really do need all this information in order to properly rank your team/rate your trade.

I'd estimate max 1% of the people asking these questions are going to read this, but the sentiment is appreciated.

Then again, you see someone put the "rate my team" question without some needed information, and yet there will be 3 or 4 people rating the team anyway.

Well said!  I also wish people would put in the title whether their fantasy question is MLB or FF.  It's just common sense when there's several more months of both sports being active.

Finally, I have to lol at people who rank teams not knowing any of the above.  Special "credit" to those who predict a playoff berth...not knowing any of the above :)
