Has anyone ever taken the INTELLIGENDER TEST to find out the sex of the baby?

t's a test that I have heard you can find at targert or cvs or walgreens. It will turn green for boy and orange for girl IF you do it properly and DONT move it... Has anyone ever taken it and it been right? Or wrong? We aren't going to find out the sex of our next child until it is born but I thought this would be a fun thing to do... Still thinking about it though..

I read articles saying it is just a scam, gimmic playing on the desires and impatience of expecting parents.

Waiting a few weeks for the ultrasound isn't going to hurt anything and will save you the money and questions until that ultrasound anyway.

In the end, remember, that the most important thing isn't whether the baby is a He or a She, but that the baby is a Healthy baby.

  • Hi. I took one for fun, followed instructions perfectly (no intercourse, no moving it, use first morning urine..etc), and it turned green for a boy. I also did the Drano Crystal pee test that has been correct for generations in my family (actually Husband did it outside for me), and it also gave me a boy result.

Had an ultrasound confirm that I actually am having a boy! It was right... now my Chinese Lunar/Gender Calendar was WRONG it predicted girl, and all old wives tales said girl too... so there you go, that's 50/50 and the intelligender and drano happened to be correct, lol. It's not at all worth the money because if you've got a partner that is willing to do this, Crystal Drano (which is the same thing as a fancy intelligender, only cheaper) gives the same results. So for intelligender I paid $30, and Drano was $6.. with the same result! lol, rip off :)

But don't go painting a nursery based off of your result... it's just for fun, but it could be right :)

edit: PINK maybe yours said girl because you ARE infact a girl? Hmm? lol. Just an idea! Now if your result said BOY that would be weird... but since you are infact a female, what else will it say? Purple for unpregnant? lol.

My Husband and I both did the Drano test, both results said BOY, I made my unpregnant mother do it also, her result said GIRL.

The manufacturers themselves state that the test is only 82% accurate, which, for my money, is not accurate enough to convince me one way or the other. I would still hold out for an ultrasound -- or, if I wasn't planning to find out the gender, I wouldn't go out and buy anything pink or blue until the baby was born! So to me it seems like a waste of money.

i did it at 10weeks, it said boy :) got my ultrasound last week and we are infact expecting a boy. But honestly they are just a 50/50 chance, i dont think there is a scientific way to tell gender from urine. But it is def fun to try! Same with the chinese chart, that was fun and it said boy for me as well.. Good Luck and Congrats!!

I took one for grins and giggles due to all the posts on it - it said I was having a girl

    I'm NOT pregnant mind you!

Its a waste of $30 - your urine can NOT determine what gender you're having

if you do a google search you'll find its a huge ripoff, there are several steps and apparently the color results are pretty ambigous. They don't make good on the refund guarantee if they are wrong, just insist the user did it wrong.

I have a friend that recently took one and it says she was having a girl but after having her ultrasound she is having a boy. Don't bank on it. :)
