Mirena vs. Paragard - Which is better?

Question

I had my annual well woman this morning. We discussed the IUD and she gave me info on both the Mirena and the Paragard. I've been reading up and doing my research but am undecided as to which is best. I know Mirena is 5 years w/hormones and Paragard is 10 years, no hormones, with copper. From what I can tell one will give you a heavier period and the other will give you a lighter period but will most likely cause spotting between periods for the first 6 months. Has anyone had experience with both? Or either for that matter?

I have the paragard and I love it! No hormones! I do have more severe cramps but it is worth it to me!

I even have the Paragard IUD, 23yrs previous, on no account have been pregnant. August i could have had it for a 12 months. at first my flow became heavier yet now it has lightened up some. it could make your era an afternoon or 2 longer. I even have observed that i'm getting extra zits at circumstances, yet having mentioned that, I had undesirable zits as a teenager. Paragard is asserted to have not have been given any linked weight income. I gained a great variety of weight on the dep. shot( i became on it for 2 yrs). I gained my IUD for loose from the wellbeing branch. Now i desire to lose some weight. i'm finally attempting to lose it.. i don't understand the way you're with hormones, yet some human beings have worry with Mirena and its hormones. I had the worst time with melancholy on depo yet i could not have faith myself with a pill. Now I even have the IUD and that i don't complication(as plenty).. seem up iud_divas at livejournal.
