Spent over $100 on various ages of blueberry bushes that were suppose to bloom at various times?
throughtout the year. Had beetle problem first year. Now I have no blueberries and plants seem to be drying up. I was told to plant them near pine trees that they liked acidic soil. Any advice is appreciate as to how I can save my bushes and actually get some blueberries.

If you drink coffee or tea you can add the grinds to the soil to make it acidic. One other thing is that blueberry plants can take anywhere from 2 to 4 years before any high yields. I would not put them near any trees either as those pine trees suck all the nutrients out of the soil. best to put peat moss down and water them well.

Did you test the soil to make sure that it is acidic? You can get a pH meter quite cheaply from any garden supplier. If it isn't acidic enough you will need to remedy it by adding a lot of peat. They won't be very happy actually underneath the trees. Also check that the ground hasn't dried out - the trees may be sucking up all the moisture.
