Has anyone's water broken while having membraines swept?

I was just wondering. A friend of mine said her sister's water accidentally broke while her doc was sweeping the membraines... ALSO I know someone who "says" her sister broke her own water at 40weeks because she couldn't stand to be pregnant anymore (IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE???) how do you break your own water.. If she's lying I want to say somethign but Idk if it's actually possible to break your own water at home... ?

This did not happen to me, but happened to a friend of mine. It is very possible to break your own bag of water at home with a sharp enough object, but this is very dangerous for both mother and baby and should only be done by a doctor. You risk infection, uterine perforation, and injuring the baby if you try this on your own. If you are dilated at all, you can actually feel the baby's head and the sac around the baby.
