I want to reinstall windows xp.?

I had a guy install windows for me. It was an OEM version and I used a program to get the activation code. I have an original xp disk though and want to reinstall windows xp off the offical disk. Will my activation code work since its an OEM version code?

    I doubt it but if it doesn't just contact Microsoft and they will issue a new code.
