How do you make burger patties that stay flat when cooking ?

I know about pressing them together, but does the ingredients have anything to do with it? I put eggs in mine to help them stay together. Is this necessary and do you think eggs make them puff up when I grill them. I would like to make them close to flat when I cook them today. Thanks!

Egg is never necessary for beef burgers. Press the beef into a patty make a few depressions in the center of the patty with your finger.

I actually add a little corn starch to the mix as it helps keep the burgers together better. Not sure if eggs make them puff up, but I think that the egg might help the meat stick together better. I think that the egg makes them taste a little better, tho. I just lay that spatula on the patties when I cook them. Sometimes the patties will want to curl upward, but I just press them flat using the spatula.

you're able to be getting turkey or crimson meat that has alot of fats in it ... while it chefs, the fats burns off and the patties shrink. attempt getting ninety six/4 floor sirloin or greater-lean floor turkey. upload a million egg and a few superb dry bread crumbs to make the patties. Mine on no account truly replace shape in any respect on the grill! Spray them with olive oil Pam, so as that they do no longer keep on with the grill.....
