What to wear to a casual interview?
I have an interview and the manager said it will be really casual. The position is at a golf course so what should I wear to interview? Its going to be a 90 degree day so keep that in mind.

Of course you are not going to wear what you would wear to a backyard bar-be-que in 90-degree heat no matter how casual the job is. I think the rule is to dress a little better than what you would wear on the job if you were hired. Your clothes are going to make a visual impression.
Perhaps you could wear a polo shirt and slacks with nice shoes. I think you could get away with casual shoes, but make sure they are really good condition.
All your clothes, of course, should be clean and neat and pressed. Even if it is casual there is still a standard for appearances. The manager is looking for these details. Wrinkled and dirty clothes are a sign that you will not be paying attention to detail on the job either.
My mom works in a CPA firm. The accountants normally wear dress slacks and ties. They do have casual days, and they wear jeans, but they are pressed and never worn out. Neither is anything else they wear.
My husband applied for a job recently where he would be dressing casually on the job. He wore short-sleeve, button down shirt, nice slacks, and a tie. He worn black leather dress shoes. He purposely overdresses just a bit for an interview. It can say a lot to the interviewer about the attitude and character of the person.
I don't think you can go wrong by dressing a little bit better than you would for the job.
Does this help?

I would wear a short sleeved shirt. I would not wear a t-shirt but something more like a Ralph Lauren type shirt. I would wear Khakis with athletic shoes. That's casual without going to far. I would not wear shorts. Yes you may wear them on the job. But for a job interview long pants is a good idea.

If you're dressed too smart then it tends to give the impression that you're over-compensating for something (ie. that empty space between your ears) but if you're too casual they'll think you don't care at all Try and find a comfortable medium; nice jeans or trousers, no rips or anything, dress shirt and some clean shoes, avoid any jewellery

Khakis, polo shirt and dress shoes. Make a god impression and get the job.
After you're hired then you can wear shorts and sneakers, that's what they all wear at a golf course.

Wear a short sleeved polo shirt, khaki slacks and decent shoes (like loafers) and be sure to be spotlessly clean, no cologne and you'll be fine.
