My puppy's eyes are red, can anyone explain to me why?

Your dog has more prominent eyes than most, because of the Pug side of the family.

Get him to the vet in the morning - don't ever mess with an eye problem, ever.

the vet will show you how to care for his eyes properly-

for now, you can safely apply a warm (NOT hot) compress made out of a folded up paper towel soaked with warm water. Use a new one on each eye, so you don;t spread any infection.

That will soothe it a little - just hold it against his eye for a few minutes. You'll have to hold his head - be careful and DON"T scratch his eye if he moves - but it should start to feel better when you do it.

well there's a couple possibility's to why its red one reason is that it has red or pink eye or he had some thing in it right then that was irritating him. so just lay low for a wile if it gets worse or stays the same for a wile take him to a vet

Maybe he poked his eye or something hit his eye. or got something in it, because pugs eyes tend to stick out, so maybe he ran into something. go to the vet and get eyedrops if the redness doesn't go away.

It sounds like conjunctivitis. Pretty much, his mucous membranes in his eyes are inflamed. You should take him to the vet and get some antibacterial eye drops for him.

probably pink eye., there are eye drops for it. call your vet or a dog store.
