should I make this trade?
We predetermined draft order in my 12 team league this year and I ended up with the 2nd overall pick. I was offered a trade by the 11th overall where I give him my first pick for his first and third pick (11th and 35th)
AP's nice, but with that extra pick, I'm virtually guaranteed a top tier QB at pick 35. Otherwise, I'm going to have to wait 12 picks to get a so so one at pick 47 or burn pick 26 on a QB, who while no doubt would be a great one, I'd kinda rather spend on a good position player.
what do you guys think?

I'd be tempted to do this, but I don't agree that you'd get a top tier QB at 35. Of course, this depends on how you define top tier! For me, I have a top 3 of Brees, Rodgers and Manning, and since people are taking QBs earlier than usual this year, they'd be gone. Then I have a dropoff, with Schaub, Brady and Rivers in the next tier. And that's where the line gets blurry, because there may be very little difference between Rivers and the next tier (guys like Flacco and even Kolb).
It depends how badly you want a top QB.

I would let go of your #2 pick
You get more options this way, and like you said, you'll be able to aqcuire a top QB this way, and 2 solid feature back RB's.
I have a 14 team league and I have the 13th overall pick, its really a good thing having late round draft placement.
Like you said, AP is great, but you wont acquire the whole team around him that you otherwise could by trading that pick away

I'd probably mock it out and see. Usually having AP is the prize you get for having to wait until the end of the 2nd round for your top WR. If you get the 11th pick, you don't get a top RB, but usually you pick again right away, so you'll have back to back top WR, or a decent RB to go with your top WR. Now you are picking 11, so you won't have a top RB if you go that route... but then picking at the end of round 2 as well. You are falling behind... two 3rd round picks is nice, and it probably is worth it overall, but I'd take a look at some mock drafts and see what you'll have.

I would do it. Sure Peterson is a great pick, but if you can get a player like Mendenhall and then a top QB at 35th you would be set.
I would do it, I hate drafting early.. Especially if Peterson turns out to be this years Forte.. Although I expect Chris Johnson to be a let down this year.
