We predetermined draft order in my 12 team league this year and I ended up with the 2nd overall pick. I was offered a trade by the 11th overall where I give him my first pick for his first and third pick (11th and 35th)

AP's nice, but with that extra pick, I'm virtually guaranteed a top tier QB at pick 35. Otherwise, I'm going to have to wait 12 picks to get a so so one at pick 47 or burn pick 26 on a QB, who while no doubt would be a great one, I'd kinda rather spend on a good position player.

what do you guys think?

I'm making corned beef today, but I'm making two in the same pot so all together it's around 9lbs of corned beef goodness. My recipes says about 50min per pound. Is that for each piece of beef (4.5lb avg = around 4 hours)? or for the total amount of beef (9lbs = 8hours)?

8 hours seems like a really long time and I don't want to overcook, then again, I don't want raw corned beef either. What do I do here?

This is really a flex question with Sidney Rice another possible option, but vs a PIT defense with Troy Polamalu back, it's not really an option.

So who do I play? the guy getting more carries on a worse team going up vs a tougher defense or the guy on the better team who may only get 8-10 carries playing a laughable defense?

I play 2 WRs and a FLEX, do I start all of them and hope for the best or do I play 2 and put a RB at the FLEX? And if I go with only 2, which 2?

reasons I'm thinking it over:

I don't like Rivers' schedule especially at the beginning of the year: OAK, BAL, MIA, PIT, then a bye. Except for MIA I wouldn't really be able to play him until week 6. Plus he plays the NFC East later on in the year. Games vs DEN, KC (both those teams twice), CLE, MIA and CIN are nice, but that's only 7 out of 16 with the rest being kinda to really tough.

Am I giving up too much letting Lynch go? My other RBs right now are LT, Thomas Jones and Norwood. It'll kill my depth at RB, but does solidifying QB make it worth it?

If no trade goes down, It'll probably be a mix between Carson Palmer and Rivers with a fill-in during Rivers' bye week 5

Ok, so I got a buddy in Kuwait right now and I want to send him some stuff, one item being a fruitcake (Christmas is coming soon, after all). Thing is is that this particular fruitcake has brandy in it. It's not a part of the batter and would not be cooked out. The cake itself is sorta basted in it and it's more like a rum cake.

Does anyone know the current guidelines for this kind of thing? I know for a fact that you can't send alcohol, but I figure that to be more like bottles of the stuff rather than it being used as a flavoring ingredient.

Does it give him more power to hit HRs? It seems to me that it makes him reach more for pitches on the outside of the plate and thus makes him strike out more often. Guys like Utley and Victorino crowd the plate. Am I the only person noticing this? Am I taking crazy pills?

I know I probably overpaid here, but I didn't like Romo being out for 4 weeks and the addition of Roy Williams. I've haven't started Williams all year and with the exception of maybe a game or 2 coming up when my guys have bye weeks, I probably wouldn't. What do you guys think?

I have gore and right now, according to yahoo, he has 99 yds. FOXsports, NFL.com and espn have him at 101. I know 2 yards isn't all that much, but my league has whole point scoring as well as a bonus for going over 100yds so that's 3 possible points to come from those 2 yards.

Right now I'm up by 14 and my opponent has Jamal Lewis left to go Monday (it'd be 20, but Folk hit that 51 yarder). Do you think I'll squeeze out a win here?

It looks like Eddie Royal won't be able to make it to the next game. Question is who do i pick up to take his place?

option 1 - Brandon Stokley - will probably take over Royal's place as #2 WR, has shown good stuff in the last 2 weeks (13 catches for 132 and a TD), and I'm playing a Jay Cutler / Brandon Marshall owner next week so I may have to play the negate game.

option 2 - Reggie Brown - also has shown good (though not spectacular ) numbers in the last 2 weeks (10 rec for 163yds). Though I'm not sure how the probable loss of B. Westbrook's going to affect them. Are they gonna pass more vs. a suspect 49er defense or are the Niners gonna cheat vs the pass?

option 3 - greg camarillo - yeah i know it's MIA, but he's been posting similar numbers as the other 2 guys in the last 2 weeks (10 rec 128yds 1TD). He's emerging as MIA's #1 but is playing a good CAR defense next week. A gamble might be worth it?

your opinions are appreciated as well as any other suggestions you might have.

Do I start S. Holmes for any of my WRs or RBs since I can switch up players with the W/R flex? Rotoworld says that he'll be facing up vs a replacement CB this weekend and even if Roethlisberger doesn't play that Leftwich can still get the ball to him.

Should I play MIN vs TEN?

- TEN's a mostly rushing team and MIN is has been one of the leagues best defenses at stopping the run. This'll force TEN to pass and probably into some mistakes.

or should I play BUF vs StL?

- St. Louis is awful and with Trent Green under center and a rookie WR2 in Donnie Avery, they can't be much better.
