can anyone write for me a friendship poem?

Poem/Song written for just for you my friend

' A FRIEND LIKE YOU"

hey lo i want to get to know you

say so i want a friend thats true

i know me and you will do

lets go and be friends so new

a friend like you is never far away

a friend like you will always save my day

my love for you i could never say

so i give my heart in each and every way

a friend like you is never far away

a friend like you will always show the way

staring out to find a new friend

i find you there. where youve always been

i know with you i can always win

i know with you there will never be an end

if your sad i will make you happy once again

Decide if you want your poem to rhyme...if yes, choose simple words to end your lines - ones that will be easy to find a rhyme for. Think of a rhyme that you already know (again, something easy)...maybe even a nursery rhyme. Use that as a basis for the rhythm of your lines. Decide what you think friendship means eg Caring, sharing, being there for the other person, laughter, tears, etc. and put them into your poem.

Eg

Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall ( 8 beats)

Humpty Dumpty had a great fall (8 beats)

All the King's horses and all the King's men (10 beats)

Couldn't put Humpty together again. (10 beats)

Friendship means always to be there (8 beats)

When hardship comes I'll always care (8 beats)

I will be there to try and dry your tears (10 beats)

To save you from harm, and still all your fears (10 beats)

..............this is very simple, just rhyming couplets and keeping to a regular metre....but it gives you some idea of a start for your verse.

I'm writing this just for my friend

it 's always nice to see you again

friendship is important in life

helps to ease with all the strife

A friend can help the day go better

being around you or writing a letter

they share good times and help with tears

it's always nice through all the years

Just like family, friends play an important part

after a while they leave footprints in your heart

They are there if you need them,

just look around and you'll see

then you'll know why you mean so much to me.

But I'm not your friend... why would I write a friendship poem to you?

Is this the future?

Children who are too lazy to write a poem?

What happens when you have to do actual work?
