Will a little bit of grape jelly hurt my great dane?!?

A little bit of grape jelly isn't going to be a problem. Grapes cause a problem but not immediately. It is a build up over time. If a person continualy feeds their dog grapes over time it will cause renal failure. The same with onions the effects aren't immediate but over time will cause heinz anemia.

There is no set amount that can cause a problem no matter what size a dog is..some are more prone to issues with a small amount while others won't have an issue unless fed larger quanities over time.

Actually ANY amount of grapes or raisins can kill a dog. There is a fungus that grows on the skin of SOME grapes-- that is the deadly part.

Jelly, however, is usually a pasteurized product in this country, however, so most kinds of fungus would be killed off in the canning process.

Good questions. You are nice to love your dog so much.

No, she will be fine. Grapes are bad for dogs, but at her size it would take more than that small amount to hurt her. Do not worry.

If it's a LITTLE, then no biggie. Because your dane can fight it. No worries unless you see some unusual behavior later on.
