Any men have child after chemo?

Have any of you fathered a child (or be the mother of a child fathered by a post chemo patient?) after chemo?

If so, how long after chemo ended, were your doctors surprised, etc?

Just hoping for a miracle here!

Update:

We were told fertility can return after 3-5 yrs. He is so far ahead of where they expect him to be. We had no time when he was first diagnosed to store sperm and we had one child so we were more concerned about saving his life.

My doctor told me that he has many patients that have been told that and he has delivered many babies that were surprises because no birth control that was used.

We said life was life and threw the birth control out.

Update 2:

Cathy: I love you and you have given me hope! It is only a little more than a year since chemo but he is far ahead of where he is expected to be in his recovery! Congratulations to you!

Yes, I had two children after my husband had chemo. He had also banked at the sperm bank too, but we didn't need it.

It is possible - like I said - I have two to prove it.

    Good luck.

PS - My first child was conceived about 2 years after my husband finished his chemo.

    I have never had chemo.

But I do know people that have gone on to have children after chemo. The vast majority of men are able to.
