From what I have read, the game sold well enough to warrant making a sequel. Although nothing has been confirmed by EA, rumors are going around saying that there is indeed a sequel in the works and a trilogy planned. There is a second part to the Divine Comedy which the game was based on where Dante was stuck in hell for Purgatory. I don't think we'll see it until late next year at the earliest.
