Right then. Me oohh Goodd. I wouldn't say i was exactly intellegant but i am not as stupid as some people make me out to be. I absolutly adore dogs ( wondered why i work in a kennel) of all sorts but amongst them are Great Danes and Wiemaraners. I try my bbest to be a nice person but some times i don't think before i open my mouth. I am a film sort of person, love all types of films ( except balck and white). Chocolate is a major for me. I have a 16 yr old dog, his name is Sam and i would be gutted if any thing happened to him. My mates are my world don't know what i would do with out them.

6 AnswersReptiles10 years agoPredators.................................??????
Ok am I the only one who thinks there was really nothing wrong with Predators? I mean yer it had its flaws ut every film does but almost every one I know seem to let them distract people from the good points of the film you like the fact that they are on a different planet this time, the fact that they have no idea whats going on and that fact that the Predators use a few different tactics liker using the dog things and using Danny Trejo as bait. Ok was it really that bad?

4 AnswersMovies1 decade agoSo why I am I being called a harsh dog owner?
Recently I've been branded a harsh owner and believe me word travels fast. I think it started when my new dog dog who hasn't had the best past and doesn't like some dogs tried to bite a dog she doesn't like (she was on the lead) and I pulled her back and said no firmly Ok it might of being a bit loud but there you go. I then walked quickly away from the other dog whilst distracting mine with a treat so the situation didn't get out of hand. There was no damage done to the other dog as I pulled my dog away from him and he then went bouncing back to his owner who by the way knew my dog didn't get on with his and still didn't make any attempt to call his dog away.
I know people have been saying things about me coz they went up to my mum when she was walking the dogs and they have saying things like "you should fire that dog walker because she's a **** who can't control your dog" not realising that I was her daughter and also saying that I was cruel and **** like that. So how does what I did make me cruel? Would they rather me let my dog bite other dogs?
19 AnswersDogs1 decade agoProblems with my Periods..?

1 AnswerBiology1 decade agoShould we or shouldn't we..?
So we got a new 5 days ago from the RSPCA . She's called Ellie, and she's a Staffie x Lab and we think she's 4 years old.
http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=113076874158...
She actually doing very well considering we haven't had her long and she does as she's told most of the time with the odd time when she doesn't want ot listen but I guess that's with most dogs. She's house trained and she is very good off the lead and she's getting on very well with our greyhound. However she does pull on the lead but if she's wearing a harness she's ok on the lead. Mum wants to try train her to walk with out the harness so should we train her to walk with just a collar or should we just let her walk with the harness.
2 AnswersDogs1 decade agoEnglish pointers.....?
I'm going to the rspca tomorrow well today and when went their the other day she saw an English pointer that the staff speak very highly of. I know he's like 9 years old but old dogs have as much right to a loving home as the younger ones do so just in case we end coming home with one how much should we be feeding it?

3 AnswersMovies1 decade agoWe might be getting a German Shepard?
So mum went to the german Shepherd rescue in catton which is about 5 miles away from were we live and she took our greyhound but all they ad were puppies which were to hyper for her liking so the owner of the rescue (she's also a good friend of my nans) said she will let us know when there is an older german shepard available. So how much exercise do they need off the lead?
6 AnswersDogs1 decade agoHow can I convince my dad that.......?
We (me and mum) were looking on the RSPCA website for another dog and we found a lurcher x with only 3 legs. Now my dad said the next dog we get he would like to be brindle (not compulsory) and this one we found happens to be Brindle. We showed her to my gran and grandad because well we at their house and grandad said seen as mum cannot go on holiday with them because of her working hours that he will pay for the dog if we decide to have her.
However my sister and dad keep saying no. We asked them why and my sister came out a number of excuses such as:
Our greyhound is too rough (yer right)
I don't want it because she looks to much like a greyhound and I don't like greyhounds,
I said lurchers are not greyhound and that this is a Lurcher x any way she said
Don't care it will be boring just like Lily any way ( Our greyhound is not boring)
Dad said he doesn't want her because she's only got 3 legs and there will be too many problems.
I know when that my sister wats a dog that she thinks she will be able to play rough with but I also know that once she gets to know the dog she will get over it.
My real question is how can I convince my dad that dogs can live quiet happily with just 3 legs?

3 AnswersMovies1 decade agoBull fighting... Is it just me or..?
Is it just me or should bull fighting be completely band? No seriously I've heard people say there's nothing wrong with bull fighting because that's what the bulls are bred for. I mean really whats the point?
8 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agoAnother question about my greyhound..?
Well as you know from a previous question my eldest dog was put to sleep. However she is now too frightened to go on the lead for walks. When ever I try take her out it now takes me ten minutes to get her one the lead because when ever I can get close to her she runs off with her tail tucked in between her legs. Eventually she will stand still long enough for me to put the lead on her but she doesn't look happy at all. This has only started since the other dog died and its not like her at all. Usually when she hears the lead she bounces off the walls. I think its because she saw my mum and dad put the lead on sam to take him to the vets and then he was dead when he came back. Am I right in thinking that or is this just because she misses sam and doesn't want to go on walks with out him. Also since the she doesn't want to go near other dogs. I've tried using treats but she just spits them out now.
4 AnswersDogs1 decade agowere can I find protective socks for my greyhound..?
She needs them because she doesn't like the cold and she keeps injuring her ankles when she goes running (we do take her to the vet)? I've tried google but it keeps coming up with socks with greyhounds on them.
5 AnswersDogs1 decade agoA question about my greyhound..?
Ok so my eldest dog was put to sleep yesterday and we let my greyhound sniff him before he was buried him. Any way she is depressed which I guess isn't a big surprise really. Any way is there some thing we can do to help her out or should we just let her work it out by her self?
