English pointers.....?

I'm going to the rspca tomorrow well today and when went their the other day she saw an English pointer that the staff speak very highly of. I know he's like 9 years old but old dogs have as much right to a loving home as the younger ones do so just in case we end coming home with one how much should we be feeding it?

Update:

Although they are very honest about the dogs and all the other animals they take in. You'd be suprised what the receptionist forgets to tell people. Also when we got our grey hound they said she will only eat 2 big tins of Chappy mixed with half a tin of butchers a day! We found out it was just the chappy she doesn't like and she is very ahppy on dry food. They didn't tell us how much she should be eating.

    Whatever the bag recommends.

If you're going to feed a species-appropriate raw diet, then 2-3% of his weight daily. Likely 2-2.5% since he's not a pup.

If you adopt they should give you all the information you require. Just make sure the food is good quality.
