How to uninstall programs without windows installer?
I am trying to remove McAfee Security center 2009 from my computer. I am running windows 7 ultimate but whenever i go to uninstall it using the add remove programs in control panel to uninstall. I get an error saying uninstaller has stopped working. Is there a way i cleanly uninstall it from my system without doing it that way?

Yes. Press the Windows key (Start) and R to open a run prompt. Type in "WMIC" and hit enter to bring a command prompt up.
Type in "product get name" and hit enter.
Wait for the list of programs.
After finding what you want to rid of in the list, type in the following: product where name="name of program" call uninstall
Note: Keep the quotes around the program name
and press enter.
A new line will appear, which basically asks whether you want to uninstall or not.. Hit Y and press enter. The program will be uninstalled.

update the program with the most recent version of itself, then use the uninstaller.

Delete the program's folder. Then use CCleaner http://www.ccleaner.com/ to clean up the mess in the registry. You'll have to live with any dll files it leaves behind.
