Has anyone here used the Black Rapids camera sling strap?

I am specifically interested in the woman's strap, but like any feedback as to how well the product performs.

Yes, I have had it for a few years. When I bought mine, there was no lady's version.

I mostly love and adore that strap. The way my camera sits against my body and the way I can grab it so quickly to bring it up to my eye is just wonderful.

When I use my big, heavy zoom lens, I attach it by the lens collar to the strap.

The camera always feels VERY secure and it is comfortable to carry it around for hours ( I have a Canon 5D MkII). I have no fear to go "hands free" at times, although I tend to walk around with one hand protectively resting on my "baby" so I won't accidentally bump it somehow.

I do have one little niggle: the strap has a wide part that is meant to go across your shoulder (to make it comfortable). That part also has room for a memory card and some other little bits. It all makes perfect sense, but personally for ME, it doesn't work completely, since I usually don't have just my camera but also a backpack (camera bag or otherwise). Because of the backpacks, I find that wide part too bulky either on my shoulder or even pushed across my back. I have often toyed with the idea of simply taking off the hook and the stopper and attaching them to a much more basic, flat strap.

The strap isn't cheap, but it is very well made, comfortable and takes good care of the camera.

I'd certainly recommend it (and no, I don't get commission :-)

I've never used one, but have two friends that use them and really like them. One shoots weddings, the other wildlife and motorcycles.
