Need help deciding on subs?
I'm planning on buying the new 2010 alpine type r's in 10" but i don't know if i should get the 2 ohm or the 4 ohm? I want to power it with an MTX 1000XD. Any suggestions on amps as well? I want true rms though, no bs.
would it affect the box if i drill a hole between the two compartments to wire them like that? i also forgot to mention I'm putting them in a under seat sub box for a chevy ext cab.

That amp will truely push 1000 rms as it is cea compliant and each of those alpines are 600 rms so 1200 for both so that mtx amp will do just fine. Get the dual 2 ohm and hook them up like this to that amp.
