Clomid 50 mg or 100mg? how many eggs?

I have been on 50mg clomid for two cycles and the last one I had 4 eggs that were mature. My question is how many eggs can clomid produce? Is 4 the most? I'm in the dreaded 2ww but wondering if I should ask my doctor about increasing the dose next time. Hope this time will work! Opinions please..

Why would you think there is a magic number involved? You can produce one egg or several. It depends on how YOU respond to the Clomid.

One thing for sure... Clomid is used to make you ovulate, so if you're ovulating with it there's no reason to increase your dose. Doctors only increase the dose when the patient doesn't respond, as in NO ovulation takes place.

If you want to produce dozens of eggs you'll have to move on to injectable meds. Although I don't see why you would do that when there's nothing wrong with your response to Clomid.
