Local disk C is full?
My local disk C is REALLLY full. I only have about 15MB out of 29.2GB and the numbers keep switching when I'm not even downloading anything. Sometimes it even goes down to 0 bytes. I've tried deleting files and using advanced system care. The highest i've gotten to is about 200MB, but it just keeps decreasing. Can I do anything either than buying an external hard drive?

Clear System Restore backups. System Restore holds lots of space for backup files.
Clear all your histories and temporary files.
Hope this helps.

Never mind downloading any more 'stuff' to take up more space on yer HDD (Hard Disk Drive). You can't spare the space.
The reason yer numbers keep switchin' may be because yer physical RAM (Random Access Memory) is teensy-weensy, and yer HDD is woefully tiny in today's needs and as such yer OS (Operating System) uses 'Virtual RAM' (VRAM) to simulate physical RAM.
Huh?
Yep, lost ya huh?
VRAM is what the OS uses to access the HDD as RAM. When done with those VRAM needs, it releases the 'space' it used as RAM on the HDD, and mebba yer #s flutter around.
Try: Control Panel > Uninstall Programs
If there are any programs or apps you don't want or need highlight it and click Uninstall, Delete, or Remove on the top of the dialog window.
Probelly won't be enuff though.
You can get a bigger HDD, and use the dinky one as a 'slave' HDD.
How to do that is for another time.

No I'm afraid there isn't.
These days software expects you to have at least a few hundred gigabytes on your primary hard drive, not thirty. I can't think of anyway to make a home computer work this day and age with so little storage space.
The good news is that hard drives are dirt cheap nowadays. Hop onto newegg.com and you can find a good 320GB hard drive for around $50. And you can get that either as an external drive or an internal one to replace the tiny one you have in there now.

The same thing happened to my older computer.
Try using disk cleanup and disk defragmenter.
It MIGHT help, but for my situation it did practically nothing.
Also, if you have anything lower than Windows 7, click start>run type in Temp and hit enter.
Delete all the files in that folder.
It may also be because you have some sort of virus that saves files you view on the Internet.
I found these pictures somehow but I never found them again but if you do, delete them all.
Hope I helped, but I just ended up getting another computer.

You need to find out what's taking space. Google and download treesize.exe and run it against your C drive. It'll tell you what's cluttering it up. Could be log files from your AV scans or something.

Windows needs about 30GB just for itself, and you don't have that much room. You can't run an old computer with modern software. Either get a larger drive or install Windows 98.

I had that exact same problem, try defragmenting your hard drive, Defraggler is good, and you may have to buy a new hard drive, I got one PATA 500GB hard drive for around $80, up from from 40GB with 1GB free space.

Try Spacemonger for a graphical representation of your hard drive, free from here:
It'll show what's being taken up and where it is. It's only a small program, so won't take up much room while you have it.
Hope it's what you're looking for.
