My 9 year old medium terrier has enlarged heart and is on many medications including Lasix.?

He drinks a lot of water, but I am wondering how much is too much? They say this problem is not uncommon in some breeds. Any suggestions?

Lasix (furosemide) is a diuretic used to clear fluid from the lungs in cases of heart failure. Because of it's dehydrating effect on the body, you are most likely noticing the increase in drinking. More than likely you are also noticing an increase in his urination frequency and volume. Talk to your veterinarian to confirm this suspicion.
