TEW-652BRP router set up help?

So the directions say use an ethernet cable, plug one end to the WAN and the other to the modem. Then, Grab another ethernet cable, plug it to the LAN port, and and plug it into the computer. Here's the problem, there is no connection between the modem and the computer, meaning no internet. My modem is the one from Comcast. There is only one ethernet outlet on the modem and there is only one ethernet outlet on the computer (HP Pavillion)

Update:

When I type in 192.168.10.1 in the adress bar, It doesn't work.

You have to configure the Internet connection in the router's configuration page. To access the router's configuration page, open your web browser, and type in the IP Address of the router. It is usually 192.168.1.1. Then, go to the Internet settings, and tell it to receive an IP Address, Subnet Mask, Default Gateway, and DNS server(s) address automatically. Then, unplug your router for 10 seconds, and then plug it back in. Then, once the router is on, unplug the modem for 10 seconds, and then plug it back in. You should now have Internet access on your computer.
