No war or genocide.
No murder, rape, child molestation, etc.
No body would go homeless or hungry because someone would go out of their way to help them.
The sick would be cared for regardless of cost.
You would have constant peace of mind knowing your car wouldnt be stolen, houses wont be broken into, children are'nt out wreaking havoc, then there's too much more to list .
But the best of it, No one would lie to you.
How could this not be better for all.

The golden rule, is much older than christianity, it is just one more thing that christianity has stolen, and tried to claim as it's own.
Nonetheless, the world would probably be a better place, if everyone lived by it.
Edit
The main problem with the Golden Rule, is that id*ots play childish semantic games with the words

The world does live by the golden rule: "He who owns the gold makes the rules"...and things aren't all that great.

What you say is true but its a two sided coin for instance say you hate doing laundry but your roommate finds it relaxing and does your share that would never happen. Or people wouldn't start free clinics because nobody would have started one for them so on so forth. So you really must look and consider both sides of everything. It was a nice idea though.

Yes. The people at the water irrigation district wouldn't have torn my tiny lot into a crater making it so I could never build a house and loose my entire nest-egg.

Hell no.
Do you know how many sadists, suicidals and masochists there are out there?
They'd start torturing and killing people just because they wanted that.
The golden rule is ridiculous. Not all people want to be treated the same. Just because I want to be treated one way does not mean another person wants to be treated that way. That's just stupid and presumptuous

some people like (even pay) to be whipped, kicked in the balls, or urinated on. some even fantasize about being raped, among other things.
