A great security measure: Don't burn somebody's holy book! Also, are book burnings really the image that those Christians want to associate themselves with? Historically, book burnings have been done to keep the truths within from being leaked into the public consciousness. With that in mind, wouldn't burning the Quran likely serve to boost its readership? It wasn't Islam that destroyed the towers. It was a group of individuals acting on a twisted version of it. Throughout American history, whenever a group has been the target of slander, they've always come off as being in the right, so slandering and persecuting Muslims will likely result in the same end.

I heard about this person`s planed burning of the Qur`an, the other day. He is as nutty as the Phelps leader.
Even though Gainsvillle , Fla. is a collage town it`s right smack in the Bible Belt Heart. This man is reflecting his upbringing as well as the mind of most fundamentalist Christian churches, who can at times be just as radical as their opponents.
I am in no way excusing this behaviour I think it is wrong , he is probably thinking they came over here and burned over 3000 people, I`ll burn their book.
I doubt if he realizes just how much of a danger he is putting himself and other in by his expected act.
I doubt if any security means can protect him.

It sickens me how a simple message of forgiveness and care for others has been turned into a hate-fest for people that nobody in that church will ever know. Qur'an burning? They should be ashamed, and if Gainseville, the home of the University of Florida, has any sense, decent people will burn that church long before the scum who run it will be able to burn sacred texts!
Abraham had two sons, dammit! So-called Christians who don't know that just show their ignorance, but then ignorance is what they thrive on.

Sounds like King Richard is preparing a new Crusade.
Grab your lance, jump on your horse, and let's ride back to the Middle Ages.
The Muslims are already there waiting for us.

How about you all go and live on the moon?

The Church has nothing to do with that event. A church (that I've never heard of) is doing this, not THE CHURCH (i.e. Catholic).
It's been hundreds of years since the last book burning party by THE Church.

The HELL?! WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE IDIOTS?! They are not Christian. Jesus taught to be loving and respectful. You do NOT burn someones holy book. Not only is it ignorant, it's begging for trouble. These morons do not speak for the rest of our religion, they are stuck in their own little world where whoever disagrees with them is wrong. Urgh.

As a security measure, they should publish their home addresses and schedules of when and where they will be at all times so that Jesus will know where to find them.
