In light of recent news, have the Taliban won?

They have won in Afghanistan no doubt about it. The question is how many of our soldiers lives are to be sacrificed before our leaders admit that just like the Russians they called this one seriously wrong. Russia held on until she collapsed I sincerely hope we have the sense to get out before that.

They started winning the instant Americans began panicking and allowing laws to be changed that limit freedom in the name of safety. It's no coincidence that life was WAY cooler before 9/11.

There was Eminem, the worlds greatest rapper, a white guy who said the funniest, most outlandish sh*t ever to hit the mainstream.

The WWF's Attitude era where Steve Austin flipped off the crowd, drank beers while the Rock said nursery rhymes and told everyone that it didn't matter what there names were. Not to mention Mic Foley flying off Hell in a Cell's and the Kat showing her **** on a Pay Per View.

People were bold, outspoken, interesting. Race relations were at an all time highpoint. Sure there was violence on TV but it didn't make things bad it made things fun.

There wasn't all this nonsense about evolution not being true and once respected institutions of faith trying to trounce the constitution and undermine children's education.
