Sick of being starving.. and being called really skinny and not knowing what to eat/do?

I'm vegan so I don't eat any meat or anything like milk or eggs. I live in Australia and there's not much ''fake meat'' stuff to pick from anything I've tried I don't like. I buy things for school and for some reason whenever I'm at school I don't know why I just don't feel like eating it even though I'm starving. I don't eat dinner because my mum smokes and I don't like her touching my food after she smokes ( I don't care what you think that will never change it's friggin grose!) I don't know to peel vegetables whenever I do I cut myself ( In Feb I tried to make baked vegetables and I bladed my whole right hand thumb skin off) I'm 11. I ask my sis too and she does some time but she says she doesn't have time ( studying) and I'm picky too like I feel sick whenever I eat beans. You can literally see my ribs and that now :( I just don't know what to do. I'm sick of being starving. I try take those mineral things or whatever but I can't swallow tablets I sit there and try for hours and in the end I just give up. I don't know what I'm asking please just i dunno.. help? Say something? Please hurry up and answer so I can delete the question ( this is my sister's account) and she logs on in the afternoons sometimes.

Update:

Also these 'protein shakes' , where you get them like from the chemist or supermarkets? :P thanks guys

this is actually really unhealthy, you need to eat and protein shakes and these vitamin shakes are not going to do it for you. I live in Australia aswell and I agree there is not much here, also everything vegan is soy base and to me soy is unhealthy. It's all chemical processed.

If you want to vegan, you really need to eat well.you can try these,

amaranth, it has all the essential amino acids, you can buy it from coles

quinoa flakes also available at coles, it is full of protein and iron

this together is good for breakfast with honey and banana

eat heaps of green vegies, beans, baked beans, pastas etc for dinner

if you eat soy, sanitarian has vegies sausages that are available from coles

but since you are only 11, you can't do your own shopping you need to talk to your mum and tell her to buy you foods that are vegan, but if she doesn't, then sorry but you just have to eat her cooking.

    Then EAT SOME DAM FOOD!!!!

Canned beans- fava beans, kidney beans, pinto beans, lima beans, with a vinaegrette, add walnuts and peanuts and cooked brown rice or some instant cooked noodles. A delicious rice and bean salad.

Eat peanut butter spread on pita bread with hummous and yellow peppers and avocado.

Cook instant wholehweat spaghetti for 7 minutes, drain and add oil, peanuts, soysauce, and some chicpeas- it's delicious.

Make toast, spread with almond butter, apple slices, miso paste, and eat as a snack.

Eat peanuts and walnuts and raisins for in between meals.

For brekky- porridge with soycream or soymilk, brown sugar, bananas and some sliced almonds.

You're just complaining and you don't need to.

Taking minerals and shakes isn't going to do much- just eat REAL food, you must have some stuff from above.

Even if you had three things- spaghetti, rice and beans, you can make good meals, with a bit of oil, some ketchup and some canned chickpeas added, or sweetcorn, or sliced avocado.

Stop complaining about it, and go get some food.

You say at the beginning you don't really want to eat, yet you also say you're sick of being starving.

To me it sounds like you've pissed off with your mother for not being a good mother and you're acting out.

If you are intent- take care of yourself by making a big cheap plate of rice, beans or noodles, and eat that every day with a few peanuts, veg, fruit.

It just sounds like you have home issues and want people to notice how messed up your life is.

IT sounds like that, and you're riht to want attention, but be clear what you actually want.

First of all, good for you for deciding to become vegan at such a young age. Many 11-year-olds are too immature to understand the reasons behind it.

There are many fruits/vegetables that you don't have to cut. Apples, bananas, oranges, carrots, broccoli, lettuce, celery, and grapes are just a few.

Maybe try black beans? They're my favorite type and easy to cook in the microwave. Nuts also help. There's casews, peanuts, almonds, and many others to give a try. Make sure you have soy milk and a good cereal available for a quick and easy meal.

For school just pack a fruit, a carb (crackers, peanut butter and jelly, ect) and a protein (protein bars are good). I never really have an appetite at lunch either so I just bring a couple snacks. Good luck:)

At 11, you are not finished growing yet so you REALLY need some supplements. Try using Ensure drinks or something of the sort. I am unsure as to why you decided to become vegan at such a young age, but being under 18 you are still not finished growing and it sounds like you're becoming malnourished.

Eat avocado, nuts, berries--anything that you like and is easy to work with, but really think about why you have become vegan. There's more to veganism than being compassionate towards animals.

hey i know how you feel i am a vegan too

i totally agree with the whole my mum smokes and i don't want to eat food if she touched it.

All i can suggest is you try to eat what you can, look i think that what your asking could be a very difficult question to answer. i guess all i can suggest is for you to eat say more fruit and you can eat vegetables that don't require peeling.

    hope it helped:)

Nuts honey eat nuts they are vegan and have fat and protein

tomatos don't need peeling nor do baby carrots, broccoli, potatos (just bake and peel off skin if you don't want it) spinach, most fruits

Get some fortified soymilk/ ricemilk/ almond milk

cereal as long as it doesn't have honey egg or milk in it

bread if it doesn't have honey milk or eggs

peanut butter you can just eat it off the spoon :)

OATMEAL!!!!! you can mix in peanut butter and bananas and its great

try finding tofu... you may find it gross but its pretty tasteless so you can force yourself to eat it

    eat rice

    protein shakes made with water

You can't rely on only protein shakes and supplements to get your nutrients.. you need to eat food, but it doesn't have to be animal products.

going vegan without knowing what to eat alternately is suicidal, start with rice, veggies grains and lots of soy and other lentil soups

If you have a nurse at school ask her. You may be depressed or need better ideas for how to get yourself to eat.

I started cooking at your age and loved it. You need to practice and not all vegetables need peeled.

You need to learn to love food and yourself.

Protein Shakes. You can mix with either milk or water, if you don't drink milk.
