Cubic feet into square feet?

ok, so today at work, i had this weird question

so, a jewish couple needed 20 cu. ft of concrete, but the bag said only "10 sq. ft"

so i was confused... i dont know how sq. ft are compatible to cu. feet,

so... is this possible? help?

i ended up giving them like 8 bags

im usually a good math guy, but i was just blank today

Update:

nah, all it said was "10 sq. ft"

thats it... it was really awkward

    The bag specification is assuming some standard thickness (often 4 inches, but don't quote me). The link shows a calculator from a concrete company that will allow you to figure out how many bags to use. I'm sure there are others available, this is just the first I found.

    if you had read carefully it likely said at 4 " depth the bag will cover 10 square feet----> 10/3 cu ft...6 bags sufficient { sell 7 }
