Anyone tried Letrozole (Femara) with Gonal-F for IUI?
For my 5th IUI, my RE wants to do Letrozole days 3-5, and Gonal-F on days 5, 7, 9. I've never done Gonal-F before.....only the Letrozole for my 4 other IUIs, so I'm wondering what does adding Gonal-F to my protocol do? and has anyone else tried this combo?

I'm a medical assistant at a fertility clinic and recently the doctors have been adding an FSH medicine (like Gonal-F or Follistim) to a Letrozole cycle for patients that don't respond well to letrozole alone. If you only got one follicle per cycle with Letrozole and are over 32, than you may need FSH medicine starting the day after your last dose of Letrozole to help more than one follicle grow.
After age 32, your eggs are much less likely to fertilize, so having more than one to choose from during an individual cycle can increase your chances of conceiving, but only slightly, like 10%.
