Christian NFL fans, do you ever pray for your team to win?
I'm a huge NFL fan, and though I don't pray, when my team is losing, I'm tempted...
Amen, Smurfy. lol
Princess, preseason football begins next Sunday. I'm already amped!

Can be true, especially since many fans want an different team to win the championship other than the Heat. I live in Miami and I am an Heat fan, but I also love the Spurs and I would be happy to see Spurs and Tim Duncan to win an ring for an 5th time.

People who I watch football with make fun of me for screaming at the television. But, I grill Brandon Jacobs' *** way more than Mr. Coughlin does [or, it would sure seem that way. And I love him, but Eli doesn't seem like much of a leader]. All he needed to hear last season were my words of encouragement "Brandon, stop lumbering two effing yards and then falling over at the first sign of trouble! YOU'RE HUGE, plow through some people. Or, christ, at least RUN! What is this stumbly walk you have going?"... that would have fixed him right up *cracks whip*
I also sound like I am having amazing sex when a good play is happening. "YES! YES! YES! YEEEEEEEESSSSS! **** YEAH!"
But I never pray.

But Jack, how can your team be losing if the season hasn't even started? LOL
Anyways, you need to say which team you support. Like, I'll totally pray but only for the Baltimore Ravens ...and the Denver Broncos. Not that I've ever cared about the Broncos, but I became their #1 [bandwagon] fan the second they drafted my one and only love, ♥Tim Tebow♥. I'll send you an invitation to our wedding!

Not anymore. It didn't help. I'm a Raider fan. But next time you watch a Raider game in Oakland watch when the ball goes through the upright and in the stands at about the 5th row (really low) and at the middle between the goal posts you will see a banner that says: TRUST JESUS
It's my friend's friend. I have a shirt like it.
But be forewarned, the Silver and Black are back.
Go Raiders! Just win baby. We have Commitment to Excellance.

I'm an NFL fan also, but no I would never pray for anything such as that, its only a game there are more serious things that I reserve my prayers for.
I believe it would be an insult to God to pray for anything such as a game that is merely for the purpose of entertainment.

no, I used to suddenly turn pagan, so I don't watch that team sport anymore. I limited myself to my kid's softball games....and when she caught the fly in a triple play, I had tears man. Knowing this could never be repeated again if I lived to be a hundred, I quietly retired her and I have been basking in the moment for a year now.

I'm not an NFL fan, darling...I prefer college football (Geaux Tigers!!), but I admit that I will scream "oh my god, did you see that?" when something wonderful happens.
I do say "oh please, oh please" a lot when things are tense, too.
Since I don't believe in any gods, I don't think that either really qualifies as a prayer, though. More a formless plea to fate.
