tattoos in the military?

I'm in the Air Force, and I want to get a tattoo that covers most of my wrist. I know the regs are no more than 25% of the body part, but will they really kick me out for it?

No, read it again. It is 25% of the exposed body. So, unless you are wearing shorts in uniform then it would apply to your arms, head and neck.

A wrist tatt should be no problem. I don't know of anyone that was kicked out for violating this rule but you may not be eligible for some assignments. A friend of mine was passed over for instructor duty because he had a sleeve. That was Navy, though.

Even if you do get kicked out you will be able to find another 9-5 job rather quickly.

im pretty sure you are not allowed to have a tattoo on any visible part of your body. which rules out the wrist
