  • What is it like to be a flight attendant in the air force?

I am thinking of retraining into 1A6. The most appealing thing about it to me is the travel, but my biggest concern is how much time would I spent away from my family?

  • Louisiana inheritance laws?

My Grandparents recently passed with no will. They had three sons, but one kept everything stating "it was their wishes." They left a house trailer which has been picked clean of all their belongings and sits on my uncle's (who kept everything) land. My father and other uncle were given nothing but some trinkets. Anyone know of any good legal sites where I can read up on their rights as heirs. We would like to confront him but want to make sure we are fully informed before we do. Thanks in advance!

  • I can't tell if my pregnancy tests are positive or faulty?

Last night I took 3 pregnancy tests. The first didn't show a result for 10 minutes, and it showed a very faint positive line. It seemed to have malfunctioned though because it took so long to show a result. I took a second one about an hour later, this one took about 20 minutes to read..... Again, positive, however the lines were much thinner than the picture on the instructions. I waited another hour and took the third. This time I peed in a cup and dipped the applicator. 5 minutes later it showed a very clear NEGATIVE. I don't know if the first two I took malfunctioned or which result I should believe.

  • Retraining in the Air Force?

I've been an AF medic for going on 5 years now, but I want to fly. I've always been interested in loadmaster, gunner, or airborne linguist, and I'm ready to apply for retrain. I am a career airman, only thing is, I just recently PCS'd (about 4 months ago). I've read through AFI 36-2626 and the only TOS stipulations i could find was for FTA. Do I need to be on station for so long before I can apply?

  • Why does my bulldog only snap at my son?

We just adopted a 2 year old bulldog. He has a good temperament, but he snaps at my 6 year old son for some reason. He is just fine with my 11 year old daughter, but we can tell he just doesn't like my son. Whenever my son tries to pet him, he focuses on him and his tail stops wagging.

Now, before u assume that my son picks on him let me say that he does not. He doesn't hit, poke, or bother the dog at all. Just walks up, says hi, and pets him on the head. My son now refuses to even go by him cause he knows the dog doesn't like him for whatever reason.

When we first noticed we immediately had him neutered hoping it might calm his aggression but it hasn't worked so far.

If u have experience with this breed and have any idea why he would've acting like this I'd like to hear your thoughts, and maybe some solutions. I don't want to rehome him, but he has 30 days starting today to get his act together or he's gone!

  • German shepherds banned in Air Force base housing?

I currently live in base housing where German Shepherds are allowed, but have heard that they are banned from some bases. I am due for a BOP but before I put in for orders I was hoping to find out where they are banned so we don't have to give him up when we move. Anyone know a site I can go on to see which bases the breed is banned from?

  • What's it like to be an Air force MTI?

If you have experience as an Air Force MTI can you please provide me some insight as to what it's like? I feel like MTI recruiters are much like AF recruiters in that they only tell you what you WANT to hear. Anyway, I have a 10 and 5 year old, been married for 8 years and have a wonderful support system in my family. But is it wise to become a TI now, how much of my children am I really going to miss out on?

  • Pit bull rescues in or near new mexico?

I have two pit bulls that unfortunately have to be rehomed because I am active duty air force and they have just banned them in base housing. I hate this because I rescued these two wonderful dogs from fighting, but I guess I have no choice. I want to make sure they get good homes so where is the nearest rescue to new mexico??

  • My pooping 5 year old?

My son, almost 5 yrs old, keeps pooping in his pants. An accident I can understand, but he is making the choice not to go to the potty, but to do it where he stands. He doesn't do it all the time, I would say maybe 20% of the time. I have read that I shouldn't punish or demean him, so I'm not sure exactly how to deal with this without damaging his self esteem. I would appreciate any advice in helping him to make the choice to go to the potty. Thanks!!

  • Is modern technology hindering the human's ability to evolve?

As technology advances, our evolutionary path slows. Using the eye as an example, it took millions of years to evolve. With the use of contacts and glasses there is no reason for defects to be "phased out" while the use of modern medicines have aided bacteria and viruses to evolve and become stronger. Are we actually hurting ourselves by helping ourselves?

  • Why is my bulldog obsessed with water?

The flushing toilet, running faucets, and ice cubes... These are the things my puppy wakes up for everyday. She would drink water til she pops if I let her. Is this typical of bulldogs or is my Lucy just strange?

I'm in the Air Force, and I want to get a tattoo that covers most of my wrist. I know the regs are no more than 25% of the body part, but will they really kick me out for it?
