Retraining in the Air Force?

I've been an AF medic for going on 5 years now, but I want to fly. I've always been interested in loadmaster, gunner, or airborne linguist, and I'm ready to apply for retrain. I am a career airman, only thing is, I just recently PCS'd (about 4 months ago). I've read through AFI 36-2626 and the only TOS stipulations i could find was for FTA. Do I need to be on station for so long before I can apply?

there is no time on station requirement to apply for retraining

but you cannot do the retraining until you have 12 months time on ststion

IE: you can apply and get approved in a couple of months, but will have to wait till 12 months TOS to pcs to tech shool
