Louisiana inheritance laws?

My Grandparents recently passed with no will. They had three sons, but one kept everything stating "it was their wishes." They left a house trailer which has been picked clean of all their belongings and sits on my uncle's (who kept everything) land. My father and other uncle were given nothing but some trinkets. Anyone know of any good legal sites where I can read up on their rights as heirs. We would like to confront him but want to make sure we are fully informed before we do. Thanks in advance!

IF there was no will then the state dictates who gets what and 1 person would not get everything under those circumstances.

However how much is it worth to prove a point? You would need an Attorney which might even exceed the cost of anything your got. A used trailer is worth little to nothing, don't know what the land is worth. But how long ago was this and why did the other 2 not fight it at that time. We might also be talking probate issues here. How did they get the title changed on the trailer.

i would advise actually talking to your relatives or else you come off as selfish greedy pricks.

if the other two had nothing relatively to do with the grandparents why should they receive any entitlements?

a general solicitor will be able to aid you in this. its very basic clearcut law you dont need a specialist, but looking for someone who is experienced in these things is prefferable. just ask at a solicitor agency theyll hook you up quick and easy

That should help you out, a verbal, "it was their wishes'' is useless, and the guy better have paid taxes on that.
