Why is my bulldog obsessed with water?

The flushing toilet, running faucets, and ice cubes... These are the things my puppy wakes up for everyday. She would drink water til she pops if I let her. Is this typical of bulldogs or is my Lucy just strange?

Update:

She is not sick. She has seen the vet for the last 2 months for her puppy series. Just wondering if anyone else's bulldogs have a similar compulsion. Thanks

Update 2:

Lol she doesn't drink out of the toilet, just likes to watch it flush :)

ahh. My dog also loves ice cubes and running water for some reason. And if the hose is running outside, forget about it, hes all over that. It's normal. It's refreshing for them, and it's also a form of play.

The toilet however, if hes not drinking from it, but is fascinated when the toilet flushes, this is the same concept as a lazer pointer for cats, or a DVD player opening and closing. There just intrigued by it.

No harm here, unless your toilet water is polluted. Sounds like an adorable little bubby!

This is really not normal, you need to take the dog to a vet and let them know what is happening. Your dog could be diabetic for one thing. So, go and check out the dog with your vet.

Increased water intake can be a sign of many different diseases, including, but not limited to; kidney failure, Cushing's disease, Diabetes Mellitus or Diabetes Insipidus, Hyperthyroidism, kidney infection or urinary tract infection, and Pyometra (infection of the uterus) to name a few. It can also be seen when taking some medications, such as Prednisone.

This is fine. She just likes water, my boxer used to lift the toilet seat up with his nose to drink.
