Hey Deadheads! Sugaree, this one's for you?

While Bob Wier and Phil Lesh are touring with the band Furthur, the Dead's old rhythm section is on the road as The Rhythm Devils. The band lineup is as follows:

Bill Kreutzmann and Mickey Hart, Keller Williams (guitar, vocals) in July and Tim Bluhm of the Mother Hips (guitar, vocals) on later dates, Davy Knowles (guitar, vocals), Sikiru Adepoju (talking drum), and Andy Hess (bass). So I just heard some of there live stuff and I like it better than Furthur. Why has nobody told me about this "other" band?

Thank you. I just saw this show listed in New Hampshire (I live in CT) and they are not playing here :( Guess I gotta go to Hampton Beach!

You might want to take a listen to Jazz is Dead. Jimmy Herring & Billy Cobham are in that band and they play jazz renditions of Grateful Dead tunes :)

yeah, phil has been a part of the rhythm devils on occasion. they haven't been anywhere close to me, so i haven't had the chance to see them. i saw further this past spring, they were good but i prefer phil and friends over further.
