Who do you feel worse for?

Dale Earnhardt Jr. for continuing to run outside the Top 12, or Jeff Gordon for almost always coming so close and then losing the win in the closing stretch?

I feel bad for both, but Junior more. It's not easy being a fan of a driver who is constantly hounded by internet babies and questioned by the media. When you're a loyal fan like me, insults towards your driver begin to feel like insults towards you and your fellow fans. I don't want to make it sound like I'm asking for pity but come on, give him a break here. He's only human. You probably wouldn't be able to win 2 Nationwide championships, the Daytona 500, 5 Talladega races, and 12 other Cup races. Jeff on the other hand just can't catch a break. He needs to stop being conservative when it matters most. If it's late in the race and the weather is questionable, go for it. Stay out of the pits. You never know. Or at least take 2 tires not 4. He's 2nd in the standings. He doesn't need to worry about points. He'll probably be outside the top 5 when the Chase starts unless he gets a win or 2.

Jeff Gordon because he should have won a couple of times this year already. Dale already has enough of Mark's crew. This is Mark's best crew chief since Jimmy Fennig & Shane Hmiel. They are starting to get their act together. Jr will still be the 4th wheel at Hendrick.

Jeez Ice he has Mark's engineer, engine builder and some of his pit crew...what more should he get from Mark? I feel for both Gordon wants to win so bad he can taste it, Jr isn't even thinking about the chase probably, if he could run consistent he would be one happy driver.

I am feeling such sympathy for Jr. This has gone on for so long. The media is covering his every anguish and his every emotion. Have people forgotten that he is a human being with emotions, just like everyone else. He may be an Earnhardt and you may not like him as a driver AND you may detest his fans, but that does not mean that you should find pleasure and satisfaction from someone else's pain.

Gordon, because he knows he's one of the best NASCAR drivers ever to walk the planet, but yet he's getting so close and just can't get wins anymore.

Earnhardt knows he isn't that good, even he said "Why be in the Chase if you're going to finish 12th? We're not even good enough to be in the Chase."

    So Gordon.

I definetely feel worse for Gordon. I loved Jr. but he hasn't been performing well for the past few years, i feel like he's losing his passion

Jr for wasting his time with Rick Hendrick. If Rick cared about Jr's future he would have put Alan Gustafson as Dale Jr's crew chief instead of a Nationwide series crew chief.

    Dale, Jr.

I feel absolutely nothing for Jeff Gordon.

Dale Jr - I wish HMS would give him as good a car as they give Prince Jimmy and Queen Jeff!

Junior because Gordon could easily win the 2010 Championship, and have fun doing it

HEY SONNY! IT'S HENDRICK NOT HENDRICKS
