Can zombies climb trees?

The one that I keep chained up to the tree in the back yard just lays there and doesn't do nothing. I was thinking of returning him to the funeral home where I got him, since he is starting to smell, and the neighbors are complaining. Maybe I should have listened to my wife and got a dog instead...

Normal zombies have reduced motor control and will probably not be able to coordinate their four limbs in an effective manner for climbing trees.

Rage zombies however may after a fashion, though not easily. Your best bet is to carry a small blade with you, you can sharpen a stake with this to poke at them. Please be aware of infected squirrels.

Old school zombies (Night of the Living Dead), no. But modern movies have shown that if you can get there, so can a zombie. Your best bet would be to have a ladder, get somewhere high up, and pull the ladder up behind you.
