how to get wall paper off wall?
Does anyone have any suggestions to get very difficult wallpaper off?
We've tried hot water with fabric softener; wallpaper remover with all the tools and nothing is working very fast. Day two and still don't have a complete wall finished. Possibly been on 20 years. (Now I know why I papered over it 10 years ago)

Steam. Easiest and best way, especially when dealing with old wall paper.
Most rental centers have wallpaper steamers and some hardware stores also rent them. Get a wide bladed plastic putty knife to help scrape it off without gouging the walls.

wall paper needs to get wet either a steamer sponge or sprayer. If wetting with a sponge or sprayer allow it to soften first. A scorer helps to allow water to backing. Soap or softener makes water more absorbable. Really I just wet using a large pump up sprayer and when soft peel it off. Sometimes it takes rewetting the under paper. My guess is the pump up spraying more water to the whole wall allowed to soak will speed You up. .

I recently had great luck with one of those thingamajigs that puts score marks in the paper, then a spray bottle with hot water seeps into the pores, spray it on heavy as you soak it up with a rag to stop from running down to the floor this also forces the heat into th glue a little them armed with a variety of scrapers: a 5 in all, a3 inch and a 6 inch drywall knife.
It won't happen fast.

You need to head down to the hardware store and rent a steamer. They make one specifically for taking off old wallpaper.

I am a painter and have found if I paint a piece about 5 by ten foot, then wait about 10 minutes it peels right off, you could try a small area and see if it works for yours.

equal parts of ammonia and white vinegar, soak the paper then find a part where you can pull the top layer away
