Why do atheists and antichristians say christians are intolerant for apposing the Islamic center to be built?
Then use the US court system to force anything appearing to be christian to be removed.
I have thought it through and atheists believe you either not believe like them or else.
Atheists just don't get it.They are not to be "deciders" what things "religious" are OK and which are not.
I have posted questions in the past for any atheist or antichristian to tell the world where the words "separation of church and state" are found in the consitution. They claim to be big on facts.
note:Jefferson's personal letter to some baptist is not part of the constitution.

IF a Christian Church can be built in downtown Riyadh Saudi Arabia, I would have no problem with it...But I believe you'all can see the irony and the hypocrisy of the backers; (the Saudi Royal Family has funded most major Mosque projects in the US) and perhaps the agenda of those involved...
Under Sheria Law, the above would be a declaration of war!

Name one instance when atheists in general have opposed any church building. Things like nativity displays they only usually want an equal say, they don't want the nativity scene removed. I would also guess they would want in Allah we trust removed from the currency as all they are asking for is a balanced secular state and equal free speech.
But I guess you regard equality as oppression when you are in control. You remind me of the Ulster Protestants who screamed that they were being oppressed when the Catholics were, asking for one man one vote, or the white South Africans who used to claim that they were being oppressed because the UN embargo was put in place until they gave equality to black people.

I don't support the building of the mosque, but for more than the reason that it's insensitive. I worry about the worshippers at the mosque being attacked by angry New Yorkers

Places of worship being built doesn't infringe upon the Separation of Church and State.

Evangelical Christian here. The US Court system concerns itself with religious items on public land. I'm relatively certain the mosque will be built on private property.
Did you even think this one through?

What Islamic centre where? Is it interfering with freedom of/from belief?
As many atheists are not in the US, don't assume we all know what the US court system decides.

Because every christian I have ever met pretends to love his fellow man and then proceeds to act in a way that goes against everything Jesus Christ said and stood for.
You have got to get away from this victim mentality and use your intelligence and learn for yourself the actual facts rather than swallow hook, line and sinker what the media tells you.

It's being built on private land with private funds...slightly different situation than religious images bought with government funds on government land. You DO see the difference, right?

I'm an atheist New Yorker that opposes it. I agree it has a legal right to be there; it just makes me puke.
