The Tridentine Mass AKA "Latin Mass" is still celebrated in the Catholic church, so YES, monasteries can still use the Latin Mass. In fact.... Pope Benedict is making it easier for Churches to use the older Tridentine rite of the Mass. Many of the younger Catholics are actually crusading to bring back this form of the Mass. Pope Benedict, in support of that.. is relaxing the rules to allow local Churches and dioceses to offer it more often.

The term "Tridentine" is derived from the Latin word Tridentinus, which means "related to the city of Trent, Italy". It was in response to a decision of the Council of Trent[2] that Pope Pius V promulgated the 1570 Roman Missal, making it mandatory throughout the Western Church, excepting those regions and religious orders whose existing missals dated from before 1370

They virtually all did. Some still do. There is also at least one parish church in every Catholic diocese that celebrates the Tridentine Mass today.

Each Roman Catholic archdiocese has at least one parish, usually more that use the Tridentine Mass. It should be on your local diocese webpage.

  • Yes there is even guild-lines on celebrating it
