almost 13 weeks pregnant, what are these pains i am having?
I am 12 weeks and 5 days pregnant. This morning I woke up with a sharp stabbing like pain on my Left SIDE. It has been hurting all day off and on,and it is pretty painful! What could this be? I had a kidney stone about a year ago and it is hurting in the same spot as it did when i had the stone, its just dont hurt as bad! What could it be? Thanks! Also i will be calling my Doc in the morning.

I got my first kidney infection around that time. I had never had one and i thought i was dieing. Mine was so bad i literally could not move, & i was in and out of it for 2 days. To make things worse, it was on my bday lol. It could also be gas, gas pains are horrible during pregnancy and don't feel like gas pains at all. Im sure its nothing major. Also, you are at the point of pregnancy where all of your organs are going to start moving around to make room for your growing baby, so it could simply be pains from that. But i would call your dr as you plan to unless the pain is gone in the morning. Good Luck...... Take some Tylenol and get some rest. 1000 milligrams is safe even during pregnancy. (that's 2 tablets lol)

It feels like circular ligament pains. Your child normally implanted at the proper aspect of your uterus and isn't developing toward the center, which could provide an explanation for why you're feeling the rigors wherein you're. However, none people right here on Yahoo Answers are medical professionals so if you happen to ever suppose that whatever is mistaken then don't hesitate to name you health practitioner or pass to the ER. I desire you the entire great!

The pain your experiencing may be caused by round ligament pain. Is this your first baby? I am seven and a half months pregnant with my first child and I experienced the same stabbing pain around the same time. Round ligaments are to ligaments attaching to your uterus keeping it in place. As the baby begins to grow, these ligaments begin to stretch and move, causing the stabbing pain you are having.
