Johnson was the last to date. There will be another, probably several. But we don't know this man's name today -- he might not be in the majors, he might not yet be born.
Of the list above, I would put a dollar on Halladay or Sabathia.

As already stated, yes Johnson was the last to reach 300 wins & Glavine was just before him. It took both of them 21 seasons to complete this task and they both barely slipped in. Glavine was on the Braves most of his career which was a top 5 team almost every year he was there. Johnson bounced around of some of the best teams. I agree with the other posts as Halladay does have the best shot but he is in his 12th year and would have to average 15 wins over the next 9 seasons as he gets older, not likely. Sabathia is a fat ***, he won't last 21 seasons so he has no shot. The rest of the guys on this list are on the way down so I don't believe any one of these guys listed makes it. In reference to a future pitcher making the list, these days pitchers do not pitch as much as they did in the past and most young pitchers are getting coddled by limiting their pitch count so they will be limited in their first few years as the guys on this list weren't. Chances are there will never be another 300 win pitcher, but they also said that about 755 home runs so who knows!

Yes, Randy Johnson was the last pitcher to reach 300 wins.
Roy Halladay has a real chance for 300, especially now that he's in the N.L. and on a team with solid run support. If he stays with Philadelphia, he could do it. C.C. Sabathia is three years younger than Halladay and is, in my opinion, even more likely to reach 300 wins.
I don't see anyone else on this list coming particularly close.

No, i do no longer think of so, because of the fact those issues are available cycles. while Nolan Ryan won his 3 hundredth in 1990, would desire to you fairly say which you observed Randy Johnson, Maddux, or Glavine and theory they have been probable to win 3 hundred video games at that factor? Their careers hadn't been usual yet, and that i assume the comparable approximately contemporary pitchers. how are you able to assert for specific that somebody like Santana, Bedard, Verlander or Kazmir won't get 3 hundred some day? i think of that pitch counts would incredibly help greater pitchers get to 3 hundred. short term, sure, fewer innings in a season and subsequently fewer wins. long term, regardless of the undeniable fact that, their arm is fit and greater suitable, so that they actually pitch greater seasons.

Well the only man on that list i can see getting to 300 wins is Roy Hallladay. I would have said Jamie Moyer but now hes hurt, and most likely wont ever play again.

CC Sabathia. He a good pitcher on a team that score ALOT of runs for him.
