Grooming a Schnoodle?
Hi I have a 4 year old Schnoodle/Mutt...
She looks a lot like a schnauzer.
My dog HATES when I try to groom her paws/legs.
Also when I groom her face.
She doesn't mind when I groom her back and sides though.
Is there any easy ways to groom her?
(Without making her very upset)
She tends to bite when grooming the legs/paws.
Thank you!

You do not give them a choice in the matter. The dog needs to be trained to stand and hold with distractions. Teach this command while fooling with the face and paws before the shears are introduced.
As DeBunker said no groomer can or would give a friggin drug to a dog to groom.
Greek you can thumbs down all you want but it is illegal for a groomer to dispence any drug. We are not vets. If your groomer is doing that then you need to be finding a new groomer. I wouldn't even groom a dog that the owner dispensed a calming drug before hand. I send them to the vets groomer

Poodle/Schnauzer mutt. Schnoodle would indicate that that's a breed. I have one of those, too. But this isn't a mutt issue. Some dogs just don't like being groomed. I keep my dogs in buzz cuts, so they don't need much grooming. Every six weeks or so they get a haircut. I don't have to brush them at all.

Haven't you ever seen a grooming table? The ARM & NOOSE? Used so dog is controlled ,leaving both hands free for work.

Most of the groomers I've known give a little benadryl or something to make the dog a little less anxious before they start without telling the owners. It makes them look like champs that they can handle any dog.
