Fantasy Football 2010 Trade Offered?

Hello, I am in a 12-team fantasy football league, and I was recently offered a trade:

I give Rashard Mendenhall and Anquan Boldin,

I get Adrian Peterson and Braylon Edwards.

I only sort of hesitate with this trade because I am fairly weak at WR in my league. It is standard scoring, and one must start 2 RBs and 3WRs. My RBs are currently Steven Jackson and Rashard Mendenhall, and my 3 starting WRs are Greg Jennings Anquan Boldin and Percy Harvin.

Do I accept the trade even though I would be leaving my Wrs at lower strength, but at the same time upgrading my RBs?

You are right, your WR corp is weak.

Do I assume that Edwards replaces Boldin in your starting lineup... or do you have someone else on your bench?

You have one of the top QBs? A top QB and Peterson, Jackson and Jennings might be strong enough that I'd say roll with it.

Running backs accumulate more points over the season than WR's do. Boldin is great in theory, but lets see how he does on a running team after a bunch of injuries. I'd take Peterson in a flash and Edwards, while a jets receiver, is a big guy that can go get the ball and if sanchez improves this year, someone has to catch the ball.

Take the trade. You'll have two bout it RB's. WR's can be found 1/2 way through the year too like clockwork.

In a 12 team league, your WRs are fine, and Edwards isn't much of a downgrade from Boldin. He and Sanchez lit it up in a couple of games last season, but his stats were low simply because the Jets had the #1 rushing game in the league. This will change this season, and Edwards could easily break out.

I actually think your RBs are what need the upgrade, anyway. S Jax always seems to be over-rated and if this is standard format (non PPR) he rarely finds the end zone, which makes him really overrated. Clearly, AP helps.

    I'd do this quickly!

Take the trade. No question. You would be downgrading a bit at WR, but Edwards has potential if he would stop dropping the ball. You are gaining the aruguable #1 or #2 back in the game and giving up a player that is already having injury problems.

Take it and the WR free agents very closely for an unexpected player to have a breakout year. Massaquoi perhaps?

Don't take the trade. While it would be nice to have the "big name" Adrian peterson, you really don't need him as much as you need WRs. You are more than good with Rashard and Steven Jackson. Your WR corps will be much weaker because you are trading away a guy sure to be the NO.1 receiver on his team and will get a lot of targets. Braylon Edwards is in a run-heavy system with other people getting targets. DONT LISTEN TO EVERYONE ABOVE, DONT DO IT!!

I wish I knew both (entire) rosters.

    Can you haggle?

    I'd offer S.Jax (Bigger name,smaller TD production+more injury prone.) instead of Rashard,and ask for a better (maybe smaller named) WR..Braylon has more name value then his production warrants;

I've watched him closely since his rookie season, living here in Ohio,,,and the dude has hands of stone!

I'd rather have Golden Tate (Whom some experts are comparing to a young Steve Smith of the Panthers.).Or,Johnny Knox, whom my Fantasy Football Index Magazine ranks as the 23rd overall WR this season.

Don't be afraid to make counter offers..Trades can make,or break your season.Mendenhall will put up nice numbers this season..I think the trade as is is pretty even.APs' value is also hyped up by his name value; I wouldn't sell the farm for him.He had 9 games last year where he averaged well under 4 yards a carry, though he had 3 games where he averaged over 6 yards a carry; So,he's definitely a feast,or famine type Player!

Bottom line: I'd try to work the trade more towards your advantage.

BTW-I'd definitely go after AP hard..When someone offers me a stud like that,I smell blood!(He is willing to part with him,

he's not 100% secure with AP.) One of the oldest tricks in the book is to offer a starter with a backup for 1 better player..

So,I'd offer S.Jax+a backup WR for just AP; This way you get

    AP,and you keep Mendenhall+Boldin!

Stand pat and don't trade. It would be nice to get AP, but don't make your starting lineup weaker just to get the name. This is a classic "big name" trick. He is giving you AP and a box of rocks, for two Tier 2 players. Mendenhall is a legit RB 1 and Boldin is a legit WR 2 with the potential to be a 1.

See if you can get him to upgrade Edwards and maybe.

Drafts are starting, time to get serious.

Are you kidding me? Sorry, I just salivate at the thought of having that offered to me.

Boldin's pretty good, but he's not great, and Jennings and Harvin are certainly not slouches. One of them may even do better than Boldin this year. I don't like Mendenhall much, his schedule around playoff time is scary, and I know you're not stupid enough to think that AP isn't a serious upgrade.

    Do ittttttttt

    take it !!!!

    hands down !!!

    no hesitation !!!

It's always easier to pick up a WR in this league anyways, Edwards will fill the void for now but is not a long term solution, just do some research and try to work some magic from the waiver wire

example, last year I picked up Sidney Rice off waivers, and this year hes a top 10 WR

DO NOT DO THE TRADE!!! PLEASE DONT!!!

ur runningbacks are already stacked and here are my reasons

    - mendenhall will get more carries cuz the steelers are a run heavy team

    - hes not splitting with parker anymore

    - peterson is a fumbling machine

    - hes fumbled 22 times in 3 years and 6 times last year

    - boldin will be a absolute beast this year!!!

    - braylon edwards will be fighting for catches with santonio holmes, dustin keller, and jerricho cotcher7

    - he dropps enough catches already

your team is already amazing for a 12 team league and especially dont trade before uve seen any games yet and u dont know who will get hurt

    GOOD LUCK!!!
