What is your favorite Italian delicacy?

I'll go for the spaghetti.

With Garlic bread sticks dipped in marinara sauce.

    A marinara sauce (doesn't have to include meat, but nice if it has some italian sausage coupled with ground beef), but with smaller pasta instead of noodles. If it has to be noodles, I like them a little thick and al dente.

    Another would be a good version of minestrone soup with a decent amount of garlic.

    Not big into cream sauces.

    I also like real Italian flatbreads (pizzas) if they have a tomato element, which is weird, because I don't really like cheese.

    But here's the kicker, since you said delicacy; my roommate and I went to great lengths to make the perfect cannoli. I don't even like desserts, but that was one of the best things I've ever eaten.

    Gnocchi, home made..either with red sauce, or butter and Asiago cheese

    Risotto Home made of course

    Tortellini, with just butter and Asiago
