in Genesis 1,God does declare ,"Lets make man in our image,and give him dominion over all living things,the air the earth",and so forth.to me that means we have all the good in us that God has .and we know Him as our creator.however ,because of our rebellion,we choose to do our own will,and not Gods will .and im sure we consciously believe that we will be judged by Him in the end for all our deeds and idle words yet somehow , not completely consciously, if we deny Him then we cant be judged.and so we go blithely about our business.{the lusts of the flesh and so on}

Because the people who accuse us of that secret belief do not have the imagination to even think about people who believe in the reality of hypothetical deities other than the one that they are imagining. Their particular imagined hypothetical deity saturates their imagination.

Because anyone Athetist or otherwise is a fool if that can't see that there is something out there bigger than ourselves. If you search your soul you'll find the answer!
