problem with audio connection use TV monitor with PC - can see but cannot hear?

have a dell pC e1505 already attached VGA cable for video into Vizio TV it works VGA to VGA cable -now how can hookup audio? from PC - plug in ear jack one into the 2 audio white and red slots into the TV.? it makes no sound anything what else i need to do to the PC? or TV settings? to hear ----- help

    Place the white and red ends into the tv as normal but place the black single lead into your line in slot in your conputer ( if you do not have a line in port you cant use this cable) then set you output to line in, in the playback devices menu you get when you right click on the sound icon in the bottom right of tour screen and select playback devices.

    You will likely need to right click your desktop, choose the video card controller that should be on the list, either hover over it for more options or click it to enter the controls, look for something regarding output, you should see eithe TV or Co axial. Hope this helps.
